Holiday fun friend

Hi you guy's how is Christmas vacation over at home. I hope you go Christmas caroling like I did today at a nursing home. But, we left late and got there when our group had already finished caroling. We got some of the group to sing more with us witch was really fun having my dad, Pete playing the guitar. I also told the candy cane story to a lady there at the nursing home:

The Candy Cane Story
If you hold the candy cane upside down then it is in the shape of the "J" for Jesus. Then when you flip the candy cane right side up then it is in the shape of a shepherds staff who were the first people to learn about Jesus. The color wight means Jesus pure and the color red for the whipping that Jesus received  when Jesus was giving up his life for us.

Everyone has a Part in This World.

"A machine doesn't have extra parts. It only comes with the parts it needs to function. Each part has a purpose, there isn't just one part that is just there. The world is a machine too. It needs parts to function. Everything in this world has a purpose. You have a purpose in this world even if you don't know what. You are part of this world."
                       -"Hugo" the movie
This message speaks to me as should it speak to everyone who thinks they aren't wanted or that you don't have a purpose. When ever I am stressing and think I don't have a part I will look back to this and it will reasure me that I am part of this world and I have a purpose

Heading to the St. John's Christmas Concert

Hello everyone.  I thought I'd put my post in here at work as I don't get much computer time at home.  There's a lot of competition at home for computer time.

Tonight is the St John's Christmas Concert.  It's a great show, something I've enjoyed more and more over the years.  Seeing all these kids, young and old, singing and smiling is lots of fun.  It's a surefire way to get in the Christmas spirit.

This will be Bynn's last year at this performance.  I remember sitting with the Rauvola's watching their son Jake in his last year.  Seems like a flash and now Brynn's a big 8th grader with all those other big kids.  Enjoy it Brynn!

Nancy's been VERY busy shopping.  Gifts are bought and in the mail.  Myself, I stayed up until 11PM last night sticking photos in a snapfish calendar.  Brynn stayed up making little decorative snowmen out of Pom juice bottles.  Anna was trying to write a post to this blog but it was getting too late.  Gabe was in his room making 'something' for Nan and I for Christmas.  Not sure what it was but it required springs which I had to dig out of the basement from the bottom of some bucket somewhere.  Wonder what it is.

We're heading to Grand Junction for Christmas this year.  Looking forward to seeing you Mom and Dad!  Will miss my sisters and Del and Mary Lou - will call at some point Christmas day.  We're hoping to get some cross country skiing in with the kids - that should be an adventure.  Looks like Mom is going to host a 30+ cocktail party on Christmas Eve - guess I better pack some slacks.

OK - Gotta run.

Welcome to Once Upon a Mahoney

We are so excited that you - well that's all Brynn let me write.
-Pete
Sorry for that he doesn't have any enthusiam. WELCOME TO "ONCE UPON A MAHONEY!" Dad is making us all start a family blog.
How this all came about? It all started with the talk about...I really don't know it was just a random idea, anyway, he said,"You know it would be really cool if we could have a family blog!" I can bet a million dollars that when he said that Gabe, my brother, probably had never heard of a blog before. I don't know about my sister but really it is new to all of us. I was right! Gabe had no clue of what a blog was, get ready world a new millionary is coming to Beverly Hills!
-Brynn
P.S. I am actually excited to write and share my writings with you all (or any who will read this...)
I like W's and blubber! I love cheeseburgers too.

12/12/11
While eating dinner my dad, Pete came up with the idea of having a family blog. I thought it would be a OK idea but what I was going to say was the problem. So I thought I would tell you about my basketball life. I was at practice when it was almost done my team and I were practicing boxing out under the basket when I went up for a shot. I came down in tears like I had broken my ankle when only I had twisted it. I hopped out to the car so I could get home to tell my parents what had happened. It is getting better but it still stings when I move it.
12/13/11
Today I had a basketball game and we won 20 something to 7 :). And my ankle didn't hurt to much because my coach wrapped it up with pre-wrap and tape. I ran hard and tried the best that I could. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and see you tomorrow.
